Consultation and Remediation

We believe in working with suppliers and factories so that they improve their performance to meet and maintain our ethical standards.

On the day an ethical audit is completed, we, or our external auditors, agree with the factory involved a list of any remediation actions needed.

Some issues are relatively quick and easy to fix such as installing the correct type of fire extinguisher.  Others may need a more long-term approach and are more complex, such as identifying and implementing a way of reducing overtime.

However, it is important to ensure that regardless how minor the issue is our teams dig deeper to understand any root causes.

For example, is a missing fire extinguisher issue indicative of the fact that the person responsible for fire safety has not received adequate training on fire safety measures, or does not have a fire management system in place?  If yes, then this could have a more significant and serious impact at a later date.

Understanding the root cause of issues enables our teams, and the factories, to implement more sustainable changes.
